Having joined Wallets in July 1980 as Office Junior, Robin progressed through the organisation being appointed as Managing Director and CEO in August 1995. Throughout his time with Wallets he has continued his role in the rostrum as Senior Cattle Auctioneer, a position which he confirms to enjoy. With a hands-on approach to the business his busy routine sees him in full charge of company business on a day to day basis. He enjoys the support of both a loyal Board as well as dedicated staff. Despite this busy routine he is very keen to make himself available at all times to help with customers requirements.

Senior Sheep Auctioneer
John hails from a farming background on the outskirts of New Cumnock. He has previously worked in auction markets at Ayr, Newton Stewart and Lanark before taking up the position with Wallets in July 2015. John is a keen supporter of Young Farmers, although now barred because of age! John has recently attained Fellowship of the IAAS having sat a 4 year exam course at Harper Adams University.

Andrew came to Wallets directly from school in 1983 and has worked his way up through the organisation being appointed the role of Office Manager in 2009. Andrew is in full charge of the day to day running of the office and its personnel. He has an extremely calming influence, most of the time anyway!

Karen has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all accountancy related matters which she uses very effectively in her role with Wallets as Company Accountant. Having worked locally since 1986 she joined the firm in August 2007 and has very efficiently tendered to our accountancy requirement on a part-time basis since then.

Livestock Procurement Officer
Judith joined the firm in 2009 and now fulfils the role of Livestock Procurement Officer mainly for our Galloway Primestock deadweight trading division. She also manages numerous farm to farm sales of store and breeding stock. Judith leads a very busy life breeding and successfully showing Belted Galloway Cattle and Blackfaced Sheep.

Well what can we say here!! Jim is our newest recruit to date, coming to us in October 2015. He has fitted in well here with both staff and customers alike and is a tremendous asset to this company. His main role is with Galloway Primestock where he procures all forms of deadstock on a farm to abattoir basis as well as direct sales of store and breeding stock. His enthusiasm for his job knows no bounds and we look forward to him developing Galloway Primestock for the benefit of both the company and its customers.

Mart Foreman
Andy Kirkpatrick has worked at Wallets since 2010 being appointed Mart Foreman in 2014. He does one of the most important and most difficult jobs within our organisation and deserves great credit for it. He is assisted by full time staff Rab Thomson, Jamie Cook, Jamie Dodds and David Bunting who to date have 60 years of working for Wallets between them. They do all the stock work as well as tending to the ongoing maintenance of the premises. Our Mart is one of the tidiest in the country thanks to their efforts. Backing them up are a team of loyal and much appreciated self-employed workers who turn out mainly on sale days to ensure the smooth running of the sales.
